• This course provides an introduction to the biblical and historical perspective of the "Missio Dei," the mission of God.
    The development of a "missional" mindset within each context of urban, cross cultural and world mission will be discussed. An emphasis on contextualization, worldview, and spiritual warfare on the mission field is examined. Class motto:
    "The Spirit of God is the Spirit of Mission!"

  • This course focuses on the identification of individual gifts and talents that persons may possess and the training of those individuals for various urban ministries. Styles of urban leadership are considered.
  • An in-depth look at urban ministry focusing on the biblical mandate of fulfilling the Great Commission. Topics include: foundations of urban ministry as a theological perspective, 21st century urban challenges and cross cultural evangelism. Emphasis is placed on Victory Outreach Ministries International as an urban ministry model.
  • This course emphasizes evangelistic knowledge and skills in doing personal evangelism, programs and follow-up in the inner city.
  • This course will instruct the students in the various ways of starting new churches in the inner city, working with denominational programs for church planting; discussion on plans, goals and how to survey a community.
